Electos provides for different people with different skills and talents to contribute to a website. To accommodate the things different users need to do and, at the same time, protect the integrity of the website, Electos provides a means to define a set of user rights and restrictions as a “role”. With roles defined, the site administrator then assigns one to each user. Based on their assigned role, users will either be granted or restricted from rights to perform certain tasks on the website. This way the site maintenance can be distributed over different users while control over the website structure and other crucial elements will be restricted to webmasters and administrators.
