Visual DataFlex Personal?

Electos Hosting

• By purchasing a WebApp Server you can host your own site(s). Alternatively, we (Asckey Data Services Ltd.) offer hosting services for Electos based web sites. Call us on 0845 2707747

Web-server

• This is a micro computer (PC/hardware) that is attached to the Internet.
• It is setup to host websites.
• Typically in our case, the Operating System of the web server will be a Windows Server, running Windows NT/2000/XP or Windows 2003.

Web Application Server (WAS)

• This is the Data Access Visual DataFlex Web Application Server.
• For this to operate, it needs to be installed on a web-server that has Internet Information Services (IIS) installed, and supports the use of Active Server pages (ASP).

WAS Lite Server

• Supports up to 5 concurrent sessions.
• Does not support process pooling.
• The price per Lite Server is £250^*
• Note: The Lite Server that comes with the Visual DataFlex Studio is provided for development & testing only, and can not be used for any deployments.

WAS Internet Server

• Supports unlimited number of concurrent sessions (limited by available web server resources only) and supports process pooling.
• The Price for a WAS Internet Server (1-CPU) is £1290^*.

WAS Enterprise Server

• Multiple WAS Internet Servers may be grouped in a cluster, governed by one WAS Enterprise Server to allow for load-balancing and fault-tolerance.
• The price for a WAS Enterprise Server (1-CPU) is £2580^*
• A minimum configuration would be the combination of one WAS Enterprise Server, and two WAS Internet Servers. Total cost: £5150^*
